Shots Fired In South OC Neighborhood; 4 Arrested: Police
A shooting was reported early Sunday morning in the area of Calle Campana and Calle Canasta, according to the OC Sheriff's Department.
DANA POINT, CA — Four people were arrested in connection with a possibly gang-related shooting in south Orange County, authorities said Monday.
Deputies were dispatched to the area of Calle Campana and Calle Canasta in San Clemente Sunday at around 12:45 a.m. in reference to the shooting, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported.
"While patrol checking the area, deputies located several shell casings and other evidence of a possible shooting," the department said in a statement. "Shortly after deputies discovered the crime scene, a vehicle possibly related to the incident was located in the City of Dana Point."

Deputies pursued the vehicle and, after a brief on-foot pursuit, two people were detained. A sweep of the suspect's vehicle revealed two handguns and several rounds of ammunition, authorities said.
In addition, two suspects found at the original crime scene in San Clemente were arrested. Their names were not immediately known.

No injuries were reported in the shooting.
