Violent Jewel Thieves Strike Again in Mission Viejo
Police say the same men who first robbed a Laguna Niguel shop in January are at it again.
Police said Tuesday the two men whose brutal beatings last month are suspected in a second Mission Viejo jewelry store robbery.
Two men stole $150,000 worth of jewels from the Jared Galleria of Jewelry at 28241 Marguerite Parkway around 8 p.m. Saturday, Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino told City News Service.
Unlike the Rita's robbery, during which , nobody was hurt during the Jared's robbery, according to police.

On Saturday, the two robbers ordered about 10 people to the floor, including a man holding a toddler, Amormino told CNS. One of the robbers held a gun, he said. If police suspicions hold up, this will have been the third jewelry store robbery by the same duo in Orange County this year. The first , when one of that jewelry store's workers chased the suspects and fired a handgun.
Both men wore masks, but are believed to both be black, the spokesman told CNS. One man is taller than the other.
