Arsonist Torches On-Campus Coffee Carts
Police and San Diego Fire-Rescue Department investigators are trying to identify who set fire to coffee carts on the UC San Diego Campus.
LA JOLLA, CA - Local authorities launched an investigation Monday into several suspected arson fires on the UC San Diego Campus.
Four on-campus coffee carts were torched in the overnight incidents, San Diego Fire-Rescue Department officials said Monday. The department's investigators are reportedly teaming up with university police to find the culprit.
"Each of the fires overnight at the La Jolla-area university complex caused about $5,000 damage to the cart(s) and another $2,000 damage to the contents," said San Diego Fire-Rescue spokeswoman, Monico Munoz, in a City News Service report.
