TSA Forces Elderly Woman to Remove Adult Diaper

Based on today's news item about a woman and her mother flying from Florida to Michigan, Patch asks:

How would you react if your elderly mother, in the final stages of cancer, traveling in a wheelchair, was taken into a room at an airport without you and forced to give up the diaper she was wearing so "security staff could complete their search?"

How would you feel if this was the only diaper she happened to have with her and she now had to fly without underwear as well?

Which could be worse — the possibility of an elderly, wheelchair-bound hijacker or a badly soiled aircraft seat and any possible health issues related to that for other passengers?

Not to mention the extreme humiliation and discomfort this woman and her daughter must have endured.

Patch wants to hear from you about whether TSA went too far or not. The company says staff followed procedures correctly.

But at what cost?
