CALIFORNIA -- The Golden State is expected to get rain this winter but the amount is uncertain with the developing La Niña.
The National Weather Service's Climate Prediction Center recently released a report stating that there is a 55 to 65 percent chance of LA Nina conditions in the Northern Hemisphere for the fall and winter seasons.
But meteorologists are unclear about what the weak La Niña could bring to California.

"The problem is, no two weather phenomena are identical. And historically, California has seen very dry El Niño years and very wet La Niña years. In other words, no matter how much time you spend trying to figure out what’s coming our way this winter, there’s a very good chance you’ll be proved wrong," according to a San Jose Mercury News report.
However, AccuWeather is predicting a "less wet and less snowy" winter, at least in Northern California, according to a USA Today report.
