1 Killed, 4 Injured In Multi-Car Menifee Crash

MENIFEE, CA — One person was killed and four others injured Friday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Menifee.

The accident occurred on Railroad Canyon Road at Newport Road about 9:55 p.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

One person died at the scene and two of the four injured persons had to be freed from the wrecked vehicles. The four patients suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital, the department said.

All lanes of the road were blocked and Riverside County Sheriff's Department investigated the cause of the crash.

The age, gender and name of the victim who was killed was not immediately disclosed.
