2-Alarm Fire Displaces 3 Adults, 3 Children In Lake Elsinore

Due to dangerous fire conditions, a second-alarm response was requested.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A house fire in Lake Elsinore Monday morning displaced a family but no injuries were reported.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews were called to the blaze at the single-story home on Kenwood Court just after 7 a.m., according to the agency.

Due to dangerous fire conditions, a second-alarm response was requested. Kenwood Court overlooks open space and the Ortega Highway to the west. Lake Elsinore was also under a high wind warning Monday morning that is expected to remain in place through 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The fire was fully contained just before 8:30 a.m., but crews remained on-scene for mop-up.

Two women, one man and three children were displaced as a result of the blaze and the American Red Cross was contacted to help the family, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
