'Armed, Dangerous' Fugitive Wanted In Lake Elsinore Man's Killing

Meanwhile, sheriff's officials have identified a Lake Elsinore man who was gunned down at a Riverside County hotel.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Riverside County sheriff's officials are asking for the public's help finding a man who is accused of killing a Lake Elsinore man by gunning him down at a Moreno Valley hotel. Chad James Green, 41, should be considered armed and dangerous, the agency said.

"Green... should not be approached," sheriff's Sgt. Rick Espinoza said in a news release. "If anyone should come across Green, please call 911, as there is an active arrest warrant issued for his arrest."

Green is accused of shooting a man at a hotel in the 24000 Block of Sunnymead Boulevard around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.

"Deputies arrived at the scene and found a male suffering from a gunshot wound," Espinoza said. "Deputies rendered medical aid until emergency medical personnel arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital where he died."

The victim has since been identified as 42-year-old James Black of Lake Elsinore.

ABC7 News reports Black was a bail bondsman, but he was not working in that capacity on Tuesday night.

A possible motive was not disclosed.

Within hours of the deadly shooting, detectives identified Green as the alleged perpetrator, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, Espinoza said.
