Convenience Store Robbery: 3 Suspects Arrested

GREEN ACRES, CA — Three men were arrested Wednesday after an armed robbery at a convenience store in an unincorporated area of Green Acres, authorities said.
Deputies responded to the 33000 block of East Highway 74 shortly after 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, where at least two male suspects brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff's officials said the suspects fled with the stolen money in a white Toyota Corolla occupied by an additional suspect.

Deputies conducted a preliminary investigation and discovered the suspects' vehicle in Romoland parked near Trumble Road and Highway 74 and conducted a "high-risk" traffic stop, where at least four occupants were detained without incident, sheriff's officials said.
All four suspects were interviewed by Perris station's Robbery Burglary Suppression Team. Three were booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center, while the fourth person was released.

Sheriff's officials said further investigation led deputies to evidence inside the vehicle, which allegedly included an unregistered Polymer 80 handgun and over $200 in cash.
The three men arrested were Hemet resident Ruben Garcia, 19; Detrell Woods, 21, and Antonio Olivares Jr., 28, who are both Los Angeles residents, sheriff's officials said.
