Wildomar Fire Burns Home, 3 Vehicles, And Outbuilding; Threatens Nearby Businesses

WILDOMAR, CA — Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department crews worked Tuesday afternoon in Wildomar to contain a fire that burned a home, an outbuilding, three vehicles and a quarter-acre of brush.

The fire was reported at approximately 1:45 p.m. in the 36200 block of Hidden Springs Road near the intersection with Clinton Keith Road.

The area, just west of Interstate 15, features homes and strip malls, with retailers such as Stater Bros., 7-Eleven, Starbucks, Habit Burger, and many others.

Early social media posts from the fire department indicated a significant presence of first responders, with multiple resources, including Murrieta Fire & Rescue, called in to quell the blaze.

The fire spread to several vehicles and a nearby drainage area, posing threats to surrounding buildings, the fire department reported.

Several explosions were reported, "possibly connected to a tire shop at the location," the fire department shared.

As of 2:45 p.m., no evacuation orders were in place, a Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department captain told Patch.

The captain also stated that all road closures were lifted.

SoCal Gas and SCE were summoned to the scene.

The blaze was contained Tuesday evening. Firefighters remained at the scene for several hours for salvage, overhaul and mop-up.

No injuries were reported, and there were no displacements.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
