Flames Scorch Lake Elsinore Attic

Flames scorched the attic of a Lake Elsinore home today, a spokeswoman said.

Firefighters went to the 100 block of East Peck Street upon receiving a call at 2:38 p.m. about the fire. Firefighters managed to contain, or surround, the flames to a large spot of insulation in the attic, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.

No one was hurt during the fire, Hendrickson said. A cause behind the fire was under investigation.
