Gavilan Fire Held To 338 Acres, 70% Contained

The roads are once again open after a brush fire swept through the Gavilan Hills near Perris.

PERRIS, CA — A brush fire that erupted in the Gavilan Hills area near Perris was 70% contained Tuesday after burning 338 acres.

The Gavilan Fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Gavilan and Idaleona Roads, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

All road closures have been lifted.
