Lake Elsinore Fire Burns Structure, 7 Acres

A fire knocked out power lines, burned a structure and charred one acre in Lake Elsinore on Saturday.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A structure fire that spread to vegetation had charred at least seven acres of surrounding brush on Saturday, north of Lake Elsinore, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at 11:50 a.m. at El Toro and Lindell roads in an unincorporated area, the Riverside County Fire Department tweeted. Officials did not report what type of structure caught on fire.

Southern California Edison was also responding to downed power lines, officials said.

Firefighters with the Murrieta Fire Department and the Bureau of Land Management were assisting county fire crews.
