LE Gets $4.7M To Fix Major Thoroughfare, 30 Intersections: Report

Lake Elsinore will inject nearly $5 million into easing traffic congestion through two major projects.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Thanks to a $4.7 million grant to fund two transportation projects in Lake Elsinore, traffic congestion is expected to significantly ease for commuters.

The first project will address issues on the bustling commuter route, Railroad Canyon Road, which has six lanes and connects Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake and Menifee to the 15 freeway, the Press-Enterprise reported.

Planned work will include adding guardrails, installing flashing signs and upgrading traffic signals, the newspaper reported.

The other project will focus on revamping 30 intersections in the city, according to the newspaper.

Pavements will be striped to increase visibility and new yellow plates around signals will make stoplights more visible to drivers.
