Man Accused Of Murdering Wife In Lake Elsinore Death

Meanwhile, the victim in the case has now been publicly identified.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A man has been arrested in connection to the Lake Elsinore death of his wife, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced Wednesday. Marchillo Hill, 38, is accused of murder.

Sheriff's officials say 45-year-old Vonshon Walker was found unresponsive on Dec. 4 at a home in the 1000 block of Monroe Street.

"Upon their arrival deputies located family members performing CPR," sheriff's Sgt. Ken Thurm said following the woman's death. "Medical aid was summoned and arrived within minutes. After attempting life saving measures the subject was pronounced deceased by medical personnel."

Though sheriff's officials did not name any suspects at the time of the death, two days later the woman's husband was taken into custody by the Hawthorne Police Department, the sheriff's department said Wednesday.

"Investigators responded to Hawthorne and took custody of Hill," the agency said in a news release. "He was taken back to Riverside County where he was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for murder."

Sheriff's officials said the DA's office filed a charge of murder on Tuesday against Hill.

Additional details about the case were not immediately available, but Hill was slated to make his initial court appearance at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Murrieta courthouse.
