Man Dead After Crash With Semi Truck In RivCo

A 48-year-old man died Friday after the vehicle he was in collided with a semi-truck in Perris.

PERRIS, CA — A 48-year-old man died Friday after the vehicle he was in collided with a semi-truck in Perris.

The crash was reported at 12:42 p.m. Friday at the intersection of East Ramona Expressway and North Redlands Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The victim was identified as Tiyon Clark of Moreno Valley, who was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The agency reported that the semi-truck pulling a box trailer was eastbound on the expressway, preparing to turn right onto North Redlands when Clark, who was driving a silver Lexus sedan, hit the rear of the semi.

It was not known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
