Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing On Murrieta Road In Perris
The rider was pronounced dead at a local hospital following Tuesday morning's crash.
PERRIS, CA — A motorcyclist has died after crashing on a Perris street.
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the crash was reported at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday on Murrieta Road, south of Orange Avenue.
In their preliminary findings, sheriff's investigators determined the motorcyclist had been riding south on Murrieta Road from Orange Avenue before losing control of the bike and slamming into a light pole, the sheriff's department said.

Deputies found the injured rider unresponsive on the side of the road and began lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived.
The rider was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to injuries sustained during the crash, according to the sheriff's department.

The rider's identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
"Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision," the sheriff's department said.
Murrieta Road was temporarily closed on Tuesday between Orange and Anthirium avenues during the crash investigation.
