Mountain Biker Suffers Major Injuries In Crash Near Lake Elsinore
The victim had to be hoisted from the crash site via a sheriff's department helicopter.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A mountain biker who crashed Monday on an off-road trail just west of Lake Elsinore had to be rescued from the scene via a sheriff's helicopter, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The cyclist, whose identity was not released, crashed around 4:30 p.m. just north of Billings and Carver lanes, on the edge of Lake Elsinore city limits.

Firefighters made their way to the crash site, but the sheriff's department helicopter was requested to hoist the victim from the area, the fire department reported.
