JURUPA VALLEY, CA — A Riverside County family found themselves held at gunpoint inside their Jurupa Valley home last week, after suspects pretended to be FBI agents, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

On Wednesday, shortly before 10 p.m., a front door camera captured three men dressed in FBI jackets, with facemasks and badges, pounding on the family's door in the 5000 block of Manline Drive. The men declared they were FBI agents and ordered the family to open the door because they had a search warrant, according to the door camera video.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the suspects had the residents get down on the floor, and then "searched" the home, ultimately leaving with property belonging to the homeowners.

Deputies arrived about 10 minutes later and spoke with the victims, who said they were restrained while they were being robbed.

"The suspects ultimately fled the location with the victim's property," the Sheriff's Department Sgt. Robert Martinez said. "There were no reported injuries and no arrests have been made."

As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details were immediately available.

While numerous commenters watched the video on social media and weighed in, the overall response is that the family should have called 911 before opening the door.
