RivCo Transition Road Closure: Eastbound 91 To Northbound 71
The California Highway Patrol announced Friday afternoon that the interchange would be closed for repairs, which could cause delays.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Inland drivers were urged to take alternate routes on Friday afternoon as an interchange between 91 and 71 freeways will remain closed for repairs, officials said.
The transition road connecting eastbound SR-91 to northbound SR-71 will be closed "until further notice," the California Highway Patrol said.
The news came after rain doused the region overnight.

The CHP did not disclose the reason for the repairs and did not immediately respond to Patch for a request for comment.
The interchange was recently rebuilt last year and was routinely closed overnight for construction.
