LAKE ELSINORE, CA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

This submission comes from Nichole Butler of Wildomar, who nominated her mom, Tracy Steffen, also of Wildomar:

What does the nominee do for work?:
Heads local Charity Organizations / 100 Women Who Care and No Cape Required

Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
My Mother has been organizing, promoting, getting funding and delivering meals for frontline workers since the stay at home order was in place. She’s been to many fire stations, hospitals, urgent cares and catered ambulance drivers. She’s a fearless inspiration to me and deserves to be acknowledged herself for all her hard work and dedication to helping others.

What’s one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?:
She gives from the heart in everything she does
