Truck Containing Hundreds Of Frozen Turkeys Stolen From Lake Elsinore Nonprofit: Report
The turkeys were to be donated to the needy, according to U.R. Important Foundation.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A box truck containing hundreds of frozen turkeys that were intended for a Thanksgiving giveaway was stolen in Lake Elsinore, according to a report given to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a business in the 31000 block of Auto Center Drive regarding a report of a stolen vehicle, Sgt. Robert Martinez told Patch.
Deputies spoke to the victim, who told them a box truck containing frozen turkeys was stolen. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle, Martinez said Monday evening.

"The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details are available at this time," Martinez said.
Media reports indicate the truck was stolen from U.R. Important Foundation, a Lake Elsinore-based nonprofit that provides food to the community.

U.R. Important Foundation officials told CBS they were sorting food for a Thanksgiving giveaway when the truck, carrying over 500 frozen turkeys, was stolen.
An anonymous donor has stepped up to help with the Thanksgiving giveaway, the foundation told CBS.
