CA Fast Food Giant To Offer Jumbo Servings
Half-pound burritos are on the menu at this fast food chain.

LAKE FOREST, CA — In an era when shrinkflation is on customers’ minds, Del Taco is making food bigger — burritos, specifically. The Lake Forest-based chain recently announced its classic burritos have gotten an upgrade and are now over a half-pound.
“At Del Taco, we’re committed to going back to our roots of getting a lot for what you’ve got by serving generous portions made from fresh ingredients, all at an incredible value,” Interim President Sarah McAloon said in a news release Tuesday.
The bigger burritos include the combo beef and bean, the beef and cheddar, the grilled chicken, the eight-layer veggie, and the bean and cheese.

The chain also introduced new El Big Boxes, which start at $5 for a combo beef and bean burrito, mini quesadilla, crinkle-cut fries and a 16-ounce drink.
In addition, Del Taco, which has almost 600 locations in 17 states, has brought back two fan favorites — the orange cream shake and the funnel cake fries.
