β€’ Person shot after deputies respond to report of overdose in Lakeside (timesofsandiego.com) β€” Deputies responding to a reported drug overdose on Briette Place in Lakeside shot and wounded a person described as a suspect late Wednesday morning, just south of Lake Jennings. No one else was hurt, and San Diego police are now handling the investigation under a countywide use-of-force review agreement.

Reyes, along with engineer Shawn McKenna, was praised by Lakeside Fire leadership for quick action, strong communication, and training that likely saved a fellow firefighter’s life.
