County Offices Closed In Observance of New Year's Day

Schools and a number of government offices will be closed on Monday.

All County of San Diego offices, libraries and animal shelters will be closed on Monday, Jan. 2 in observance of New Year's Day. Here's what else you need to know:

  • Sunday, Jan. 1: Sunny and clear, high of 79º. Low of 47º at night.
  • Monday, Jan. 2: Mostly sunny, high of 78º. Low of 45º at night.

Other notes:

  • public schools will be closed on Monday. Grossmont Unified High School District schools, including Monte Vista and Mount Miguel High Schools, are closed as well.
  • The and library branches are closed Monday, but will reopen on Tuesday.
  • The and Spring Valley Gym are closed as well.
  • Emergency service is not affected by the holiday. Call 911 if you have an emergency.
