The San Diego Padres will host their first-ever Chaldean Night as the team faces the Colorado Rockies at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Neighborhood Market Association, formerly based in La Mesa, partnered with Petco Park in presenting the first ever Chaldean Night!
A percentage of ticket sales to benefit will go to the Chaldean Seminary of Mar Abba the Great and the Workers of the Vineyard, said the Neighborhood Market Association (NMA).
Formerly of La Mesa and now based in San Diego, the Neighborhood Market Association advocates for and works with liquor stores and markets throughout California, Nevada and Arizona.
“We are so blessed to have been able to work out this partnership with the Padres and Petco Park to bring awareness to my community,” said NMA President/CEO Mark Paul Arabo in a statement. “It will be a fun night for everyone who attends, and we can only hope to continue to work with Petco Park in the future.”
More than 2,000 members of the Chaldean community are expected to attend the game Friday, the NMA said, along with Congressman Juan Vargas and former Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher who states, “I’m proud to be part of an event that celebrates and highlights the diversity of cultures in our community.”
