Palm Avenue 7-Eleven Robbed by Pair; One Waved a Semi-Automatic Pistol

They fled on foot south on Palm Avenue after taking cash from a clerk, who was not hurt.

Waving a black semi-automatic pistol at a clerk, one of two robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of cash Wednesday night from the 7-Eleven store on Palm Avenue, police said.

The La Mesa Police Department said the robbery report came at 8:46 p.m.

Two black men in their late 20s entered the store at 4253 Palm Ave., police said.

One, wielding a pistol, demanded cash from the register, police said in a news release.

“Once obtaining an undisclosed amount of case, both suspects left the store on foot running northbound on Palm Avenue,” police said. “The suspects are still [missing]. The clerk was not injured.”

The robbers were described thusly:

Suspect #1 was a black male, 25-30 years old, about 5 feet 5 inches tall, and heavy set. The suspect was wearing a black long-sleeved hoodie, was unshaven and had a medium length Afro haircut.

Suspect #2 was a black male, 25-30 years old, also about 5-5 and heavy set. He was wearing a dark colored sweater and blue jeans with short hair.
