Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In East County
Authorities are searching for vehicles involved in the crash, including a vehicle believed to be a damaged 2013-2018 Ram 1500 truck.

SPRING VALLEY, CA — A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash over the weekend in eastern San Diego County, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 5:11 a.m. Sunday at Sweetwater Road near Blossom Lane in Spring Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
"Preliminary investigation determined the pedestrian had been struck by an unknown vehicle while in the southbound lanes of Sweetwater Road near Blossom Lane before being struck by additional vehicles, several which fled the scene prior to the arrival of emergency personnel," CHP officer Jared Grieshaber said.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities were searching for vehicles involved in the crash, including a vehicle believed to be a 2013-2018 Ram 1500 truck with damage to the left side and/or front, including a missing driver's side mirror.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to contact the CHP's El Cajon area office at 619-401-2000.
