Question of the Day: Should Grossmont High School Pursue Charter Status?
Teachers have voted to begin exploring charter option in wake of parent outcry on boundaries.
Reacting in part to new attendance boundaries that would reduce students population at Grossmont High School, teachers there Wednesday voted to explore the campus joining the charter movement. The Foothillers would make La Mesa an all-charter-school city, along with Helix Charter High School, if some had their way. What are the upsides and downsides of charter status?
