Update: 3 in Custody After Armed Suspects Flee Near Sprouts
The suspects fled to La Mesa following an armed robbery in Spring Valley.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department and La Mesa Police Department apprehended three suspects in La Mesa after an armed robbery in Spring Valley Wednesday evening.
The city of La Mesa announced all three suspects were taken into custody at 11:01 p.m.
Following an armed robbery around 9 p.m. in the 9900 block of Jamacha Road in Spring Valley the three were pursued by sheriff's deputies. The suspects' vehicle was lost then found again near the Spring Street and Fresno Avenue intersection near Sprouts Farmers Market and fled on foot.
A handgun and shotgun possibly used in the robbery were thrown from the vehicle during the pursuit, a sheriff's watch commander said. A third weapon used in the robbery was not discarded, he said.
