Where Have All the Flowers Gone? The Hillsides of Lake Murray Boulevard

The 5700 block of Lake Murray Boulevard south of Aztec Drive was awash in color Wednesday—yellow, white and purple-pink varieties of field daisies. Commuters who earlier put up with rains were being  rewarded with rainbows of flowers as a result. Stephanie Marquis of the nearby Allen’s Flowers & Plants said her shop has cut daisies in burgundy, white and yellow—as well as flower varieties from farther afield. She said the shop’s supplier in Cardiff gets shipments from as far as New Zealand. But for now, the best view of flowers isn’t the but along the streets of La Mesa.
