Active Shooter Training Takes Place At Lafayette Elementary School

Police asked the public to avoid the Moraga Road campus during the training.

LAMORINDA, CA — Residents may see a lot of police activity Tuesday at Lafayette Elementary School but they should not be alarmed.

Lamorinda police departments were scheduled to conduct active shooter training from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Moraga Road campus. Officers will be dressed in tactical gear. There will be no live ammunition, but the public may hear blanks being fired, police said.

The Lafayette Police Department asked the public to stay away from the location during the training.
