Electric Car Sparks Fire In Hunsaker Canyon
Smoke in the Lafayette area was from a fire on Hunsaker Canyon Road, police said.

LAFAYETTE, CA— A fire Tuesday in Hunsaker Canyon sent smoke throughout the Lafayette area.
The blaze was reported shortly after noon as a structure fire in the 100 block of Hunsaker Canyon Road and was contained shortly after crews arrived, a spokesperson for the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District told Patch.
However, no structures were involved or threatened, Con Fire Spokesperson Lauren Ono said. Less than a quarter-acre of vegetation was burned in a fire sparked by an electric vehicle, she told Patch.

There were no injuries reported.
Smoke remained in the area from the fire, but the Lafayette Police Department assured the public there were no additional fires to be concerned about.
