Lamorinda Police Help Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Concord and Lafayette police helped arrest a suspect accused of committing an armed robbery in Danville.

LAFAYETTE, CA — Lafayette police helped spot and arrest a suspect accused of robbing a Danville gas station, Danville police reported.

On Feb. 22 at 9:54 p.m., Danville police responded to reports of a robbery at a gas station on the 100 block of Hartz Avenue. Four men in hooded sweatshirts and ski masks robbed the store of merchandise and fled before officers arrived, according to a DPD news release.

On Tuesday at 11:19 a.m., Lafayette police officers located a black Chevrolet Blazer on east Highway 24 near Pleasant Hill Road that was identified as the suspect vehicle. Lafayette officers pursued the car into Concord, with help from the Concord Police Department. The driver left the Blazer and fled into another car, but was arrested in Concord.

He was being held on a $155,000 bail.
