MORAGA, CA — Murals are a popular art form that can add vibrancy and vitality to a town’s landscape. Art in public places plays an important role in adding character, a unique sense of place, storytelling, and beautifying a community.

Moraga’s Art in Public Spaces Committee is leading a new community-based project and invites Moraga residents — school-age and older — to complete a short survey. Responses to the survey will help expand public art in Moraga to include a large mural on the long wall outside of the Town Chambers at 335 Rheem Blvd. next to Town Bakery.

The goal of the survey is to gather words and thoughts from residents and business owners. These words will help shape the theme of the mural. The Town Council will go through a process of review and approvals, and vote on the mural’s final design.
