LAMORINDA, CA — Patch reader Jennifer Morris took this photo the morning of New Year’s Day 2022 on the King Canyon Loop Trail in Moraga, while with her hiking group, Lamorinda Moms Run/Hike/Walk.

"I’ve been on this trail many times but this was by far the most beautiful day so far!" Jennifer told Patch.

The King Canyon Loop Trail is a 6.7-mile East Bay Municipal Utility District trail that travels through oak forests around the Upper San Leandro Reservoir just south of Moraga.
