See Smoke? Prescribed Burns Continue In Lamorinda
Residents and motorists may see or smell smoke as pile-burning continues this week.

LARMORINDA, CA — The Moraga-Orinda Fire District was back in the Wilder Road area Thursday working on prescribed pile burns.
Smoke may be visible to nearby residents and passing motorists until around 4 p.m. when the work is completed for the day.
The fire district plans to return Friday around 10 a.m. to continue the work which entails burning piles of vegetation cut to reduce wildfire fuels within the Tunnel-East Bay Hills Shaded Fuel Break project area.

MOFD is coordinating the project with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to ensure the burn is conducted safely and with minimal smoke impacts.
The project was initially scheduled from Monday to Thursday of this week but was postponed one day as crews helped respond to weather-related incidents.
