Water Polo Playoffs: Campolindo, Miramonte, Acalanes Teams Prepare for Weekend Action
Second round matches are scheduled for Saturday

Lamorinda high school water polo teams are preparing to play their second round games this weekend in the North Coast Section playoffs.
In the boys Division I tournament, top ranked Miramonte High won its initial match, swamping 16th ranked Livermore High, 21-3, on Thursday.
Miramonte now plays eighth-ranked Monte Vista High at 3:45 p.m. Saturday at the Miramonte pool.
The Matadors are 17-8 this season while Monte Vista is 10-14.
Second-seeded Campolindo High easily defeated 15th ranked Mission San Jose, 18-9, on Wednesday.
The Cougars now play against seventh-seeded Amador Valley High at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Campolindo pool.
Campolindo is 19-6 this season while Amador is 18-4.
In the girls' Division II playoffs Campolindo High is ranked number one.
The Cougars had a first round bye and will play their initial game against eighth-seeded Carondelet High at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at the Campolindo pool.
Campolindo is 21-3 on the season while Carondelet is 12-12.
Miramonte High is ranked number two and also had a first round bye.
The Matadors' first game will be against seventh-ranked Piedmont High at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Miramonte pool.
Miramonte is 18-6 this season while Piedmont is 19-4.
Acalanes High's girls water polo team advanced to the second round by swamping Encinal High, 15-2, on Wednesday.
The fourth-seeded Dons, who are now 14-11 on the season, will face fifth-seeded Marin Catholic High at the Acalanes High pool at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
