
GOVERNMENT
The Corte Madera Parks and Recreation Commission meets Monday at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Agenda topics include reinstating a youth advocate on the commission and a discussion about security doors at park restrooms. There will be time for public comment.
• The Marin County Planning Commission meets Monday, 10 a.m., at the Marin Civic Center. On the agenda is the proposed Master Plan Amendment to the Spirit Rock Meditation Center. There will be time for public comment.
RECREATION
The Larkspur Walkers meet weekly Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at at 9 a.m. for a three-mile, round-trip walk. The terrain includes some hills and staircases. Arrive 5 minutes early and meet at the east end of the parking lot, near the picnic area. The walk is open to everyone. There is a $15 annual fee.
MOVIES
The Lark Theater is showing a pair of revealing films about some of biggest events in of our time. "The Inside Job" is a detailed documentary of the financial collapse that led to the recession. "The Social Network," one of the hottest movies of the past year, looks at the creation of Facebook. Visit the Lark Theater for details.
