College of Marin will host Remembrance Ceremonies at both its Kentfield and Indian Valley campuses to mark the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States, which occurred on Sept. 11, 2001. The Remembrance Ceremonies will take place on Sept. 12, 2011, at 10 a.m.
The Kentfield ceremony will be held at the flagpole located in front of the Fine Arts Building next to Circle Drive at the Kentfield Campus, 835 College Ave. The Indian Valley Campus (IVC) ceremony will be held at the flagpole in front of the east wing of Building 27 facing the road, 1800 Ignacio Blvd, Novato. The American flag will be flown at half-staff at both campuses on Sept. 11 and raised on the morning of Sept. 12 following a brief presentation by Dr. Coon at the Kentfield Campus and also a brief presentation by Dean Nanda Schorske at IVC. Following the ceremonies there will be a moment of silence in remembrance of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 attack. Students, faculty and staff are invited to attend
