Homeowners are squaring off against homeowners to decide the character of a Corte Madera neighborhood.
The Corte Madera Town Council voted 3-1, with one abstention, at its May 7 meeting to deny the proposed designs for a home on 150 Edison Ave. Council member Bob Ravasio abstained as he is part owner of the property.
The Town Council will host a public hearing regarding the project during its regular meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
Opponents to the proposed design on Christmas Tree Hill listed a series of concerns, arguing:
- The driveway presents a hazard to users of the Jean Bean Trail.
- The house is not set back far enough from neighboring property.
- The house is too large for the property.
