Civil Rights Group Condemns Racist Flyers Left On Marin Driveways

LARKSPUR, CA — The nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization has condemned the recent distribution of flyers containing racist and antisemitic language in North Bay cities.

The flyers were left on residents' driveways in Larkspur and Corte Madera on Sunday, according to the Central Marin Police Authority.

Zahra Billoo, the executive director of the San Francisco Bay Area office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said in a statement, "It's disheartening that such incidents of bigotry continue unabated across our nation. Each new incident, however, deepens CAIR-SFBA 's commitment to combatting these despicable acts of hatred in our communities."

"We stand in solidarity with the residents of Larkspur and Corte Madera and all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, Islamophobia, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry," Billoo said.

Surveillance footage from residents' homes may have captured the suspects and their vehicle, according to police. Similar flyers have been found in other communities throughout the Bay Area, including Berkeley, Palo Alto, Concord and Danville over the past year.
