Job Applicants Ready For Interviews At City Hall

Larkspur City Council will interview applicants Wednesday for the seat vacated by former council woman Joan Lundstrom.

• The Larkspur City Council will meet in special session Wednesday at 4 p.m. to interview applicants to fill Joan Lundstrom's vacant council seat. Ann Morrison won election to the City Council during the November election and Mayor Larry Chu was re-elected.

• The Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) will host an open house Tuesday at 6 p.m. for community members to view and discuss draft conceptual bridge designs for the Central Marin Ferry Connection project.

The CMFC Project will extend the Cal Park Hill Multi-Use Pathway to the south by constructing a new elevated crossing over Sir Francis Drake Boulevard with an access ramp leading down to an existing multi-use pathway connecting to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal as well as other destinations. Minor improvements to the existing multi-use pathway along SFDB from the Highway off-ramp to the Ferry Terminal will also be considered.

• Whether or not you attend the “Live at the Met” HD broadcasts at the Lark Theater, these classes promise an exciting musical, educational and fun journey through a diverse range of glorious Operas. Follow instructor and opera veteran James Sokol into his world, starting with Handel's Baroque Gem on Tuesday at 1 p.m. The Lark will show the Faust classic A Deal With the Devil on Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. The cost is $27 per session.

• Nothing Bundt Cakes − purveyors of nostalgic yet refreshingly modern Bundt cakes − is spreading its wholesome goodness to Corte Madera. The newest bakery is located in the Market Place at Tamal Vista in Corte Madera and will host several grand opening activities beginning with Wednesday's ribbon-cutting at 11:30 a.m.

• Don't forget to visit the North Pole Annex on weekdays and weekends at either The Village or The Town Center in Corte Madera. And bring toys, clothes and other appropriate donations to really get in the holiday spirit. The Twin Cities Police Department kicks off its "Things for Teens and Toys for Kids" holiday drive on Dec. 3 at The Village.
