Journey For Health A Fundraising Success
Nicole Nada raised more than $7,000 for the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness in Greenbrae during her 320-mile bike ride to her first chemotherapy session.

Nicole Nada recently completed the trip of a lifetime, a six-day, 320-mile bike ride that will end six days later in Greenbrae, just in time for her first round of chemotherapy on May 21 at the Marin Cancer Institute.
Nada, who is fighting breast cancer, is blogging about her journey on her site www.kickingmycancer.com. She is using the ride to raise funds and awareness for the Center for Integrative Wellness and Health in Greenbrae and the Humboldt County Breast Health Project.
Here is her latest update. We'll post her blog entries here as they come in. You can donate to her causes on her site.

YEAH! Thank you beautiful people! Those I know and those I have not yet met. Family, friends of family, friends of friends, those with cancer, those without, EVERYONE!! I feel so supported and the two organizations we raised money for are very grateful and jazzed to say the least.

The last I heard we raised a whopping $7,212 for the Center for Integrative Health and Wellness in Marin County where countless patients will now be able to receive scholarships for complimentary care such as acupuncture, jin shin jyutsu, and massage therapy. I know these therapies make a difference in side effect management, and possibly survival.
We also raised an impressive $1,400 for the Humboldt Community Breast Health Project located in my hometown of Arcata. These folks are the “go to” people as soon as you are diagnosed with breast and gynecologic cancer in our rural region. Places like HCBHP simply could not survive without donations so thank you and their services are free of charge. I am also selling raffle tickets for their annual fundraiser so hit me up for a ticket or two … you could win a vacation to Sayulita, Mexico or Victoria BC.
At the risk of not sounding grateful (which I certainly am) … somehow or other this summer I’d like to get the Center up to $10,000 and the Breast Health Project up to $5000. So please continue to spread the word about this blog which receives about 1500 hits daily right now!
If I reach these goals, I will have raised $46.87 for every mile I rode!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I hope your good will comes back to you one hundred fold some day.
