Marin couple's 'Twosday' baby girl born at 22:22 at MarinHealth
The baby girl was delivered en caul, making the birth extra special
On 2/2/2022 at 22:22, Daniel Miranda Munoz and Astrid Merida Gramajo welcomed a baby girl at Marin Health Medical Center.
The father said, “My birthday is 2/23, and I thought she would be born on my birthday.”
Daniel’s boss had predicted 2/22, and he was right. Astrid’s labor started at 12 noon. Certified Nurse Midwife Liane Macpherson delivered the first baby for Astrid and stated the baby delivered
“en caul,” which can be known as a sign of an extra blessed life.
Liane commented on how amazing this family was to care for.
Anne Lupus, Director of Maternity Services at Marin Health Medical Center, said the family had hoped to deliver on 2/22/2022, and it was even more special with her birth at 22:22.
Baby Emma weighed 6 lbs. and 11 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long.

A quilt was given to Emma by the hospital to commemorate her birth that comes from the Mt Tam Quilt guild. The volunteers make special blankets for special babies like Emma. Last year 1438 babies were born in MarinHealth’s new Oak Pavilion maternity unit.
