University of Miami President Donna E. Shalala said Ghilotti was preparing to join the family's construction business. The company has offices in San Rafael and Santa Rosa.
"The entire university community is heartbroken to hear of the tragic traffic accident, which resulted in the death of a UM student who just celebrated his graduation Friday," Shalala said.
"Our condolences and thoughts are with his family and friends today," Shalala said.
A mass is scheduled for 5 p.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Coral Gables, Winick said. A reception at the Newman Alumni Center on the university's campus will follow.
Dino is the youngest son of Richard Ghilotti, the company's president and CEO. Richard has two other children, a son and daughter, family spokesman Larry Kamer said.
