Redwood Student Busted With Marijuana On Campus
Twin Cities Police receive reports of DUI, domestic abuse, thefts.

• Redwood High School reported they have a student being detained for being in possession of a large amount of Marijuana. Pursuant to an investigation by the Twin Cities Police Department School Resources Officer, a Corte Madera juvenile male was arrested for Possession of Marijuana for Sale on School Grounds, Possession of Stolen Property, Petty Theft and Possession of Less than One Ounce of Marijuana. He was booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall.
• Pursuant to a traffic stop in the 80 block of Lucky Drive, two Tiburon juvenile males, a Corte Madera juvenile female and a Corte Madera juvenile male were arrested for Possession of Marijuana in a Vehicle and released to their parents on citations. A Mill Valley juvenile male was arrested for being a Minor in Possession of Alcohol and released on a citation to his father.
• A resident of San Fernando reported someone used his 10 year old daughter's Social Security number to obtain employment at a business in Larkspur. An Identity Theft report was taken to be forwarded to the San Fernando Police Department. There may be additional local follow-up pending.
• A resident of the 200 block of Via La Cumbre reported via 9-1-1 that she was currently at the Corte Madera Library with her husband, who didn't know she was calling. She stated her husband had hit her at their residence earlier in the day and she is now worried for her and her daughter's safety. TCPD Officers contacted the woman and her husband at the library. A Greenbrae man was arrested for domestic violence and booked at the Marin County Jail.
• A resident of the 200 block of Balclutha Drive reported she and her two small children were approached by a male subject in his fifties, wearing a white shirt and jeans, associated with a white or silver 2-door convertible vehicle. She said the subject was staring at the children while speaking to her. He told them he had lost his puppy and he wanted help finding it. She said when she walked away with the children, he followed them to the house. Advice was given and the incident was documented.
• A resident of the 40 block of Echo Avenue reported his wife's locked vehicle was entered and her T-Mobile My Touch 4G cell phone, valued at approximately $400, was taken. Nothing else was taken. An Auto Burglary report was taken to document the theft.
• A Corte Madera resident reported that while she was driving in the 70 block of Casa Buena Drive; she witnessed a male subject stumble into a parked vehicle and feared for his safety. Contact made with a Santa Rosa man, who was arrested and booked into the Marin County Jail for Public Intoxication. There will also be follow-up with the Marin County District Attorney’s Office for a Violation of Probation.
• TCPD received a report via 9-1-1 of a physical fight between a male and a female in the parking lot between the Bank of America and the Corte Madera Library, on Meadowsweet Drive. Contact was made with a Corte Madera man and it was determined the female subject had already left the scene in a vehicle. The female subject was contacted at her residence in the 30 block of San Clemente Drive. Neither party wished any further action.
• A resident of the 200 block of Via Casitas reported that an unknown person wrote in metallic marker on the rear passenger side window of her vehicle while it was parked in area of her residence. She also received a note a couple of weeks ago about her parking and thinks it may possibly be a neighbor involved. Documentation was provided for the vandalism.
• A resident of the 300 block of Larkspur Plaza Drive reported her clothes were taken from the laundry machines at her complex. Approximately $900 to $1,000 worth of clothes was taken. The theft was unwitnessed. Documentation for the theft was provided.
• A resident of the 10 block of Sunrise Lane reported her residence had been entered. She reported that she had so far discovered her laptop, iPad and camera are missing. A Nintendo Wii and a Tiffany necklace were also determined to have been taken. A Residential Burglary report was taken.
• A Petaluma resident reported his vehicle was entered by unknown means while parked in the Village Shopping Center, near Macy's. Taken were a MacBook Air laptop and an iPad one tablet computer, for a total value of approximately $2,500. An Auto Burglary report was taken and there is possible further investigation pending.
• A resident of the 400 block of Manzanita Avenue reported the theft of her vehicle. An Auto Theft report was taken and the vehicle entered into the Stolen Vehicle System.
• The Cotati Police Department reported they had located the vehicle reported as stolen to TCPD from Manzanita Avenue in their city. The vehicle did not appear to be damaged and no one is in custody. The vehicle was cleared from the Stolen Vehicle System.
• A Point Richmond resident reported that her sports jacket, valued at approximately $250 to $300, was taken from a hook in the pool area at the Bay Club Marin, located in the Corte Madera Town Center. The theft was not witnessed.
• A San Anselmo resident reported her vehicle's hood was keyed last night while parked out from Il Fornaio restaurant, located in the Corte Madera Town Center. The vandalism was not witnessed.
• Loss Prevention Agents for the Nordstrom Store, located in the Village Shopping Center, reported a theft had just occurred. They reported the involved female subject, who was in possession of stolen merchandise, had tried to pepper spray a Loss Prevention Agent while fleeing the scene and calling out to two other subject in the area to assist her. She was last seen driving away from the shopping center while the two other subjects were walking away. There were no injuries to the Loss Prevention Agent. Contact was made with the two subjects in the area who were determined not to have been involved. Area checked for the vehicle with negative results. A Robbery report was taken and there is further action pending.
• A Corte Madera resident reported that while her vehicle was parked in the 40 block of Hazel Avenue, as she was picking up her child at another residence, her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle. She stated she was only inside the residence for a few minutes while picking up the child. Taken was a large silver woven leather bag. The bag contained her wallet with Driver’s License, credit card, debit card, two un-cashed checks, and miscellaneous documents. The loss is approximately $500 to $600. Documentation of the theft was provided.
• A caller reported via 9-1-1 that he witnessed a vehicle run into a parked vehicle in the area of Corte Lenosa and Via Hidalgo. He reported seeing a male subject standing outside his vehicle, who appeared to be checking the damage, and appeared intoxicated. An Officer located the moving vehicle, occupied by two subjects, on Via Hidalgo. When he attempted to stop the vehicle, it refused to yield and then both subjects jumped out of the vehicle and ran. The subjects were located in the area and a Greenbrae man was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Evading Arrest, Hit and Run, and Driving Without a License. The second subject, also a Greenbrae man, was arrested for being Intoxicated in a Public Place. Both subjects were booked into the Marin County Jail.
• A Greenbrae resident reported the theft of new clothing from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the area of his residence in the 300 block of Via Casitas. The loss is estimated at $40. The vehicle was also ransacked. Documentation for the theft was provided.
• A resident of the 400 block of Larkspur Plaza Drive reported her son's red and white, Specialized, men's 21 speed mountain bike, valued at approximately $650, was stolen. She advised that someone had cut the lock and took it from the bike rack in front of the building. Documentation for the theft was provided.
• An employee of the Lucky grocery store, located at 570 Magnolia Ave., reported a male subject stole four beers and is now standing outside the store. A Sausalito man was arrested for Shoplifting, Public Intoxication, and Violation of Probation. He was booked into the Marin County Jail.
• The Novato Police Department reported that they have an Officer out with a victim of domestic violence, who is a Novato resident, at Novato Community Hospital. The domestic violence incident reportedly took place in TCPD jurisdiction. At time of call Novato also had the suspect, a Larkspur man, detained on a traffic stop in Novato. TCPD Officers responded and contacted both parties. The Larkspur man was arrested for domestic violence and booked into the Marin County Jail.
• The TCPD School Resources Officer contacted two juveniles on the bike path off the east lot of Redwood High School. Both were returned to the school. One of the subjects, a Tiburon juvenile male, was issued a citation for being a Minor in Possession of Tobacco Products.
• Pursuant to contacting a subject on foot in the 700 block of Meadowsweet Drive, a Corte Madera man was arrested for an outstanding warrant and for Being Intoxicated in a Public Place. He was booked at the Marin County Jail.
• While on patrol, a TCPD Officer checked a license plate on a moving vehicle, traveling on southbound US 101, after it had made an illegal driving maneuver. It was determined it to be a reported stolen vehicle from San Mateo. The vehicle was stopped just prior to Paradise Drive. A San Mateo man was arrested for Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Violation of Parole. He was booked at the Marin County Jail. The vehicle was removed from the Stolen Vehicle System.
• A San Rafael resident reported that his blue Wilier Road bike, valued at $7,000, was taken from the unlocked roof rack on top of his vehicle while it was parked in the lot at the Corte Madera Town Center. He advised the front tire was not on the bicycle. Documentation for the theft was provided.
During this one week time period, Twin Cities Police had 277 calls for service. This included one call related to accidents with minor injuries, three hit and run accidents and five property damage only accidents. There were two auto burglaries and one residential burglary. There was one call related to Driving while Intoxicated, resulting in one arrest.
