• Lemon Grove ‘Bargain' Homeless Cabins Balloon Into $11 Million Project (hoodline.com) — A major homeless cabin project planned for a Caltrans lot in Lemon Grove has ballooned into an $11.1 million build with about $3 million in yearly operating costs. County leaders are now negotiating to buy or lease the Sweetwater Road site under tight federal highway rules, while residents and officials remain sharply divided over safety, costs, and the need for interim shelter locally.
