He started studying at the Conservatory of Music when he was 13 years old. Later in College Music theory in his Hometown of Venezuela, and then became a Certified Instructor through Berklee College of Music. Many of Jan's Students have gone on to record albums, tour outside the US, become Sound Engineers, Professional Guitar Players, and meet their guitar-playing and music goals. Jan worked hand in hand on several projects with producers like Trino Jimenez, a famous Latin Music Producer and Arranger. Trino Jimenez arranged one of Jan's nostalgic, beautiful master piece called "Delirium", "Ayer". Jan's Music is being played by Orchestras and theaters. Jan is well-versed as an instrumentalist playing the Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar, Ukulele, and Bass.

Accused of killing 12 people and wounding 58 in a Colorado movie theater, he appeared dazed and confused at his <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/23/james-holmes-court-appearance_n_1694948.html?133847348738&amp;icid=maing-grid7%7Cmain5%7Cdl1%7Csec1_lnk2%26pLid%3D182864" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">first court appearance</a> Monday.  Now it's up to the local district attorney on whether the former Rancho Penasquitos resident and Westview High School student should face the death penalty.  But an taken by more than 1,000 people on Patch found overwhelming support (76 percent) for abolition of the death sentence in California.
