14-Year-Old Livermore Carjacking Suspect Arrested: LPD

A 14-year-old is accused of attempting to carjack at least five people in a downtown Livermore parking garage, police said.

LIVERMORE, CA — A 14-year-old Livermore resident was arrested on suspicion of several attempted carjackings, the Livermore Police Department announced.

On March 12, Livermore police received a report that the suspect approached a man inside the parking structure near the intersection of Livermore and Railroad avenues and threatened to harm him if he did not give him his car. Police allege that the suspect placed his hand in his pocket to mimic a gun, and the victim drove away as he kicked his car.

On March 16, Livermore police say they received four additional reports with a similar description to the March 12 incident.
